The NCE Ethos:

Support Local, Change Lives.

Every time you use our Crèche, Café, Gym, Bakery or Laundry Service, you are directly funding our life-changing Community Employment (CE) Schemes.

We provide real-world work placements and certified training for people who are long-term unemployed, giving them the skills and confidence they need to secure full-time careers. Your support fuels real change in Cork.

    How It Works:

    The NCE Pathway

Our unique model connects community support directly to career opportunity. By using our campus enterprises, the public helps fund the infrastructure for this three-step journey back to employment for the long term unemployed.

Our pathway provides meaningful experience, certified skills and gives our CE participants the confidence to move forward into full-time employment.

    Step One:
    Find Your Placement

Find a Community Employment (CE) position within NCE that interests you. Apply with Our Support. We help you check your eligibility for the CE scheme and guide you through the process of applying for a specific placement with NCE.

    Step Two:
    Gain Work Experience

Work in a Social Enterprise. You will work 19.5 hours per week in a structured, professional role within one of our public-facing enterprises (Café, Bakery, Laundry, etc.) or support services.
